If this rumor is true, perhaps this explains why our team seemed to not have their head in the game this past weekend.

Which rumor? There's like 5 floating around here, none of it is by someone who voiced it as a fact ("ok guys, this is what it is..."). Mods should lock this, or someone in the know needs to state it. Either let us know, or shut up this dumb panicking in the hopes the Ath. Dep. can keep it all quiet indefinitely. But if someone is getting fired, it will obviously get out, so may as well tell us know if that's the case. Or at least tell us what isn't happening, if nobody is being fired. I just don't get this thread.... why post it if you won't tell us? Why rule out football and basketball but then not clarify further.... why let rumors someone will get fired stay out there, while just a few comments ago those "in the know" were saying it may blow over, and that's why they're not telling us?
