The have moved a ton of gravel in for the outfield - way more than I have ever seen on a field. Have they secretly decided to switch to field turf or is the new wave in drainage plans for grass fields?
-
Sounds like the makings of a french drain to me.

Question that people may or may not have an answer to: are we still on track to be able to play all of our home games at The Dude this year or has the rain delayed progress?
-
Last I saw on Twitter field would be ready for fall ball October 9th. Now I don't know what that means for the stands.
What is going next to visitor dugout?

Extending the chair-back seating down to the field. They're also going to do that all the way around past the home dugout although I'm not sure what it'll look like for that club level behind home plate.

Thanks from the camera angle it looks like the stands come out farther than the dugout.
-
They do.

From what I have read next season was planned to be a limited home schedule.

I've loved following the construction cams, but I have one issue...
THIS tree.jpg
It's blocked a full view of the plaza construction, and now the first of the steelwork. I'd go Harvey Updike on it if I could.

They are starting to put up the frame for the extension of the lower deck, the main walkway and the second level down the 1st base line...
Frame for batters eye going up... Setting the edge of the grass from the field turf.

Anyone have any info/idea as to what the huge random pole currently standing in the middle of the left field berm is for?

I have no idea what you are calling the LF berm... We have no LF berm... you mean 3rd base Berm that's not built yet? I see no pole...
If you are talking about dead center field that's the batters eye... Other than that I have no idea where you are looking...

My bad. Obviously meant RF berm.

If I were to venture a guess - it is a support pole for safety netting that will cover the seating area. That is something that is going to become a requirement in the near future and we are thinking one step ahead of the lawsuit posse (just like with the LFL).

Now that you point it out... good catch... no clue.. really hope it's not for a net... who knows..
What I keep trying to figure out is the hole in the berm wall on the back... That whole thing should be filled in and be one big berm I thought... odd
