I saw that and said WTF? Glad it wasn't the Cardinals. I'm already pissed they drafted Kramer Robertson.

Jordan Anderson told Robbie at 247 that he is coming to school.

That's a good sign. But that's also what Gray Fenter and Jack Kruger said too. Nothing is final until the deadline in July.

Fenter was drafted in the seventh round so more motivation for the club to sign him. Kruger was in the final year in which he could have leverage and he got drafted by the Angels. I'd say there is a good chance Anderson makes it here.

If we get Mangum III, Anderson, Lovell, Hatcher, and Allen in one draft class, this is a ridiculous OF!

Vansau and/or Macnamee better learn 1B

I could actually see Lovell at first and possibly Allen at third. We'll just have to see how things shake out because OF is also a possibility for all of them as well.

That's true but the thing both of them have in common is they all said that they were coming to school and all of them had teams that went overslot to sign them. Regardless of the semantics of each situation that's the thing I fear the most- teams going way over slot for one of our guys.

Pretty sure teams that know they'll have to go over to sign earlier picks draft guys that will be super cheap like Dominic

Who was our HS signee that turned pro after getting picked in like the 30th round a couple years ago, from NY I think? Wonder if he's still playing in the minors

That would be Dale Burdick. Last I saw he was demoted to A ball from AA and is hitting .208 in A ball after ripping AA with a BA of .150.

And he was drafted in the 40th round which is the LAST round. He made a mistake going pro IMO. Cann would have probably made him into a pretty solid hitter.

Yeah- but they still draft guys that have a reasonable chance of making it to MLB too.

Hell- what am I saying? My team drafted Kramer ****ing Robertson.

Pretty sure he was literal about the $400 bc it was 40th round. Burdick got much more than that though
