Now or never for the west

I've doubted this team a lot this year, but esp in 2 instances: Friday night lost to Kentucky and Friday night lost to aTm. Both times we pulled the series out. Our backs are against the wall again...

Cann obviously values defense with his continuing to play Alexander and Poole. I think he has to pick 1 though... can't play them both. If Poole or Alexander are up with the game on the line like Poole in the 6th, you have to PH.

Our goal is to win both the remaining games, so we can't delay going to self tomorrow if we have to. Win tomorrow at all costs and worry about Sunday, Sunday.

Come on dawgs... grab that magic again

Just read the game thread. I'm surprised more people were not calling for mcnamee to pinch hit for Poole in the sixth. Seemed like a no brainer. Cann's plan of starting defense had worked fine to that point and he had exactly what he wanted but didn't pull the trigger with mcnamee for some reason. Strange.

We will start mcnamee and Vansau Tom and LA will continue to play third. That's our best lineup right now. If Bragg could get his stuff straight he could help us too. But don't hold your breath.

I did on Twitter. And you're right about Bragg. If Cann has to choose between sitting LA or Poole he really has no choice at the moment but to sit Poole because Bragg has made that decision for him.

What is the deal with Bragg?

He has been ill per Cann's press conference. Aside from that he doesn't work as hard as he needs to in practice. I'm not sure of the ill excuse is deflection like Mangum hurting his hand "sliding into third" as opposed to hitting the dugout wall in celebration.

There are rumors he's not even dressing out and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he is not even on the team next year.
