Nice theory but the second the verdict from the COI is handed down. Freeze is gone for cause with no more money due.
Extending him is just very very weird. Truly delusional and ALL IN.

Blackmail, lying, cheating and stealing are the same thing... EVIL..... and is NOT apart of MY BIBLE....
Neither is supplying, escorts, ladies of the evening, etc....

He's going to cleanse Ole Miss of their sins. It's actually one of the more Christian things he will do.

I've said all along that nothing serious to them.

They've already given themselves a one year bowl ban, which the NCAA obviously didn't accept. That's pretty serious.

Agree Scooba.
With his extension having to be approved by the IHL, I don't see how ANY governing board can approve such an asinine request knowing that they (Freeze, Bdork) have run afoul of the NCAA (even if all of the penalties and allegations are not yet known) and if the said-governing board was truly looking out for the best interests of the university, the business decision alone is no way in hades does he get extended. And before anybody says it, I'm fully aware that the IHL is STACKED WITH UM ALUMs.
I just think stupid crap like this will be viewed as icing on the cake when the NCAA comes a'hammering.

No.
Easy there buddy. Tusk is...well Tusk is Tusk. Tireddawg 12.20.17

Extensions mean nothing when you can be fired for cause. This is nothing more than PR posturing from the "all is well" admin at OM to give a temporary boost to crootin and ticket sales.

I wonder if maybe, just maybe, the OM admin and a certain section of the alums ( lawyers wanting to run this ship) are directing this whole situation in the direction of a major showdown with the NCAA in a courtroom. I think they really believe that they can "lead" the universities in a revolt against the NCAA and everyone will just jump in board and ride with them.
Just my .02

Freeze could bring om to its knees with what he knows. That means the Manning myth would be burned to ashes like an antebellum home during Sherman's march. Freeze has them by the balls and will not leave until the very end when the NCAA levies its punishment.

Their wish to lead the fight against the NCAA, even if it means becoming a martyr, is delusional at best as most schools view their methods as unethical and unacceptable. This may very well be one of the greatest 30 for 30 stories ever told.

OM thinks they are above the NCAA policies and procedures.... and the idiots MAY try this in court.
If Om and their attorney's attempt this then the REAL MESS will be brought to the forefront... and for many
people, their business and lively hood will ALL come falling down....
There could/should also be FEDERAL Charges involved in this mess and very well could be before the NCAA finishes with OM.. No these charges won't come from the NCAA but some of what was reported to them is ILLEGAL in Mississippi.
SO WHY SHOULD ANDY KENNEDY WANT TO CONTINUE AT OM? With the NCAA breathing down both sides of his neck????
MORE SIDELINE INFORMATION: IF you want a real kick.... 55 OM players have graduated with a degree called..... B.G.S. in General Studies... This degree was created in 2010.... and is a WASTE of time for these guys.. I am saddened that Scholarship money is being used to fund this degree.
This is a excerpt of the catalog...... HISTORY/MISSION/PURPOSE
The Bachelor of General Studies is a cross-disciplinary degree program offered to maximize opportunities for individuals to reach personal goals, meet job requirements, and advance their careers. The degree was created in 2010 to meet the needs of undergraduates who wish to tailor their own degree program to meet their specific educational and career needs; non-traditional students whose work and family responsibilities constrain their ability to complete the requirements of other undergraduate degree programs offered by the University; and students who have accumulated many college credits, but discontinued their studies without completing a degree. Courses taken in fulfillment of BGS degree requirements are selected from the offerings of the College of Liberal Arts and the professional schools serving undergraduates at the University of Mississippi.
I realize that IHL is loaded with OM graduates.... and that they approved this degree... The General Studies Degree WAS NOT meant for Football players or any other RECRUIT just entering college...
