Spending the week in Japan, I did exactly zero cooking, a fair amount of drinking, and a lot of eating over last week. This was my first time there, and what an interesting place it was. I can only describe it as the introvert's paradise: you don?t have to make eye contact with anyone, feel the need to talk to anyone, just move along in line, stand in your queue and read your phone.

I had breakfast in the hotel each morning, which was a fairly large spread. This was pretty much what I ate each morning: onigiri (rice ball), sausages or sausage balls, cold egg yolk scrambled, salad and miso soup. This was surprisingly filling, and I left Japan thinking I don?t eat enough rice for breakfast.

We went to a baseball game one night, and had a great time, it was the Tokyo Giants vs the Yokahama Baystars. Draw a line down the middle of the stadium, splitting home plate to the outfield, put all Giants fans on one side and all Baystars fans on the other - that is how they sit, no intermingling of the fan base. While your team is on offense you stand up and chant/sing the entire time. When you reach the third out, sit down, and the other teams fans stand and begin chanting. It was really fun to watch. The second pic is a video of the chanting, you may have to click to open.

The stadium was pretty bare to start, but really filled up as the salarymen started getting off work. I was surprised by the number of ladies in the crowd - at least 50/50. Lots of moms with kids at the games, as I assume dad was still at work.

I will be heading back there for three weeks later this summer, hopefully with the opportunity to expand on what we were able to visit during this trip. Glad to be home, jet-lag sucks.

40 lbs of crawfish, sausage, corn, potatoes, mushrooms, etc... along with jambalaya, apps, and desserts. Washed down with miller lite, fireball, & night capped with two glasses of four roses small batch single barrell chilled with an ice ball.

Went from 10 AM until almost midnight. It was a beautiful day despite the rain.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
