    there's a huge ferry that goes to ship island already. on special days they could easily increase their runs. I agree the casinos probably wouldn't care enough to get it done, but having a big party out there would bring a lot of local regional people to the coast for the party. You have USA, Tulane, LSU, USM, State, Ole Miss, New Orleans, Mobile, Baton Rouge, Slidell, Jackson, and more within a few hours of there. Done right, it could be a huge blowout, but without places to stay there or something other than sand and water, it won't work.

    I guess I'm just a wus or maybe I just don't understand how sea worthy pontoon boats are, but I can't imagine taking a pontoon boat out to the islands to begin with. Too many times where a storms pop up. I've never been caught in anything too bad, but I've been in stuff I wouldn't have wanted to be caught in with a 21 ft deep v, so I'm assuming I really wouldn't want to be in it with a pontoon boat.

    But you see them out there, so maybe they handle rough water better than I would expect.

    I would never leave the shoreline in a pontoon. You're exactly right. I was just saying if you could imagine somebody that didn't know better.
