Whoever thought that has not watched us this year. We are bad outside of our starters. Hardin is probably your most consistent arm and Auger can usually give you an inning or two but everyone else is pretty inconsistent. They will look really one weekend and really bad the next

Downs was comfortable at the plate all weekend. Didn't chase as much as usual. Might need to hit for Larry when Hugesack gets back though he may have pulled a hammy. At the very least, he gives us a bat off the bench.

Losing Nate Dohm has hurt us badly this year. He could have eaten up innings in whatever role.

It was a reasonable thought process. They burned a ton in the first two games. We’re just too inconsistent.

This series has summarized the whole season. Did what we needed to do but failed to take the next step forward when we had every chance to do so. The season of missed opportunities. On to the next

But that's the thing with this team, we have very few players in the dugout that we can pinch hit with (so we don't). We also have very few quality-ready arms in the bullpen so we run short often on the mound. We gotta get more SEC-talented dudes on the roster going forward.
Yes. We have some missing pieces because of recruiting and it’s reared its head way more than once this season. We are going to have a lot of holes to fill next year.

I definitely didn't say that, but if we had gone Hardin for 2 and Davis for 2, we likely win.

He could be a difference maker out of the pen.

They pitched their closer twice too. We were pretty deep in their pen

Just add it to the other blown opportunities this year against Florida and Ole Miss not even to mention all the OOC games lost.

We left 37 on base in three games. Pitching wasn't the only problem.

Cut that number in half and pitching would not have mattered.

Look we can all be mad that we lost, and it is completely justified, but we got what we came for. We needed one and we got one. Now take care of business next weekend and we will be hosting.

Cut that number in half and we do to Arky what UGA did to SoCarolina this weekend when they scored 39 runs to sweep the series (and bumped their RPI all the way to #2).

Frankly, I believe we need to play North Alabama. 1 we need the win. 2 guys that left Ackerman on base this weekend need at bats with Runners on. 3 we needs to get a couple of clean innings from a guy who may have to pitch next Sunday and clean innings going after batters by 5 bullpen guys. We don't only need to beat N Bama, we need a 3 hit shutout against them by this pen not only to get ready for Missouri but for playing in Hoover next Wednesday with a non-weekend starter on the mound. Not playing this past midweek while several teams did hurt our hitters. Hell, Ole Miss played 14 innings Wednesday night and then took the first 2 from A&M.
