I would love to save him, but I think we have to use Davis in the 9th. 53 pitches is around when Auger runs out of gas. Arky has heart of the lineup. We can?t afford to get into a jam and then end up using Davis anyway.

Had he stepped on the front of the plate I would agree. Ball was in the glove the same time Chance got there and the original call was out. They didn’t have much of a choice there.
