Offense is king. This will be the best offense since Mullen, easily. We just need an average defense that can get us just enough stops on third and long. The butt hurt posters looking for anything wrong just piss me off.

I think it will be our best ever offense ppg wise just because of how fast we are going to go. Probably be our worst defense in a while for partly the same reason.

We've got a ways to go before we have just an average defense (not sure it will happen anytime soon) but this offense is going to keep us in many games.

Now that you brought it up, they do have some pretty pointy elbows and the coach needs to take their chairs away.

Well ole miss is buying all the defensive guys in the state we would usually land so you're probably right.

Well, glad to see that out of all that I typed, you noticed that I added an unneeded "s"..... but I will add that Chris Parson (singular) looked twice as good as he did at the end of last years season.
So because of that....he deserves to be plural Parsonssssssssssssss.
Carry on.
Love All Worship One!
Go Dawgz!

We lost A BUNCH of production on defense and are counting on a lot of unproven guys or transfers. Add that to having a new DC and it's justifiable that there's worry.

If we can at least have the level of defense that started developing the middle of last season we'll be okay. Hell, as long as it's not Peter Sirmon level we can win 6 games. Defense will probably keep us from winning a couple of close games.

There's going to be 2-3 games where we will just have to simply outscore the other team. Thankfully for us, Lebby runs the type of offense to be able to do that.

I hate being a Debbie downer but this is the problem, in the landscape of college football as a whole we might be a decent team but we play in the SEC where we have bottom of the barrel talent. So why we might look serviceable playing against ourselves it does not really give me a true indication of how good we are.
Plus for me, I have lost a lot of interest in football because I do not know any of the players. The tribalism that makes college football so great is going away because it is basically a whole new roster every year now and I have no investment in any of these players. I am starting to enjoy the smaller sports more now honestly.
Ok enough negativity for today.

Not for State. Will Rogers was our QB for 6 years.

Very interesting to say the least. No clue why he wouldn't just wait and transfer at the end of the year. Unless he thinks that transferring now gives him a better chance to win the job over Gunner Stockton or Puglisi in 25.

Bottom of the barrel talent really! You are a bottom of the barrel poster for sure!

Rewatching M&W game. I bet KB21 really hates this offense. They're running the ball and use a TE. Unacceptable*
I think the veer n shoot with RPO is one of my favorite offenses to watch. This season will be exciting. Getting 2016 Saints vibes....score 40 and give up 41. Hutzler did have some stuff drawn up that would've stopped a TD or 2. The Parson to Ball TD he blitzed the Mike into the RB side. Perfect against an RPO. RB had no chance to make that block. If they could hit the QB Parson might have a rib or 2.

What exactly is the defense scheme and what sets it apart from what everyone else is doing?

We don't really know other than we're going to probably be 4-2-5, or at least that's what it looked like to me. Then again, without being able to blitz, it's almost impossible to know what we'll do.
