Weekend Cooking & Drinking Thread: Spring in the Winter Edition

I don't know about the rest of yall but its nearly 70 degrees in the Jackson metro. Rain the next few and then cold but man it's been nice the last 2 days. Only thing that kept me off the water was my son with strep. Typical. No plans yet this weekend but I'm eyeing a low-key cook at home kinda weekend. Cheers

Storms today, freezing temps tomorrow and Monday wont allow me to get on the water for MLK day, which was my plans. Went to the store this morning to see what they had for the game tomorrow with my intentions on making crab cake BLTs, but they were out of local crab. So, I?ll be smoking st louis ribs and rib tips, corn and fried potato salad. Who dat

Dude that sounds like a plan. I loaded up crockpot this morning for chicken tacos tonight. Busy weekend so I’m contemplating stopping at a liquor store for tequila

    Batchin' it tonight.

Doing a little pre-gaming with Bulliet on the rocks, chased with this tiny bone in ribeye

"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Bloody Mary now (broke into my pregame saints purchase) and about to grab a beer and light the grill for some WT backstrap.

Got distracted and took it off a little late, but it's hard to beat some fresh backstrap on the grill.

I've got the TV moved outside, fire in the pit, sausage on the grill and bloody Mary's rolling. Ready for the Saints.

It's our annual "day" of winter here (40s and windy all day) - so I got a nice fire going and had some red beans and rice slow cooking all day. Glad I'm not a Saints fan, cause I wouldn't feel like eating after that BS no call.
Full disclosure - I was rooting for the Rams cause I grew up with the GMs wife - but winning like that sucks.

    Go Chiefs!

Watched the Saints game on my phone in a tree stand. What a bummer. Didn’t see a deer. Came home to pot roast in the crock pot.

Y'all did it right this weekend ,,,,, went to Tunica at the Gold Strike and watched the games in the game room...lost my ass on the bets,,,,and now heading out to work to make it up. I must say, that it is a toss up with the Bone-in Rib Eye and the Backstrap. Can not go wrong on either.
