Even though its a few days past the D-Day anniversary....
I just ran across this story in the Dispatch.

I met Mr. Freeman as he was leaving the State/Bama game at halftime 4 years ago. I thanked him for his service and reached out to shake his hand. Instead of shaking my hand, he stood at attention and saluted me. I almost lost it at that moment.
