    Question on Lebby offense

For those of you who have watched the Oklahoma offense and are familiar with the way Lebby ran it, is it one where they are fast pace and snap the ball about every 20 seconds?

Yes. Expect many numerous injured Rebel defensive players come Thanksgiving weekend next November.

    LOL!! 100%.

I watched a couple of OU games on YouTube this weekend and was really impressed with the speed and efficiency of the offense. I also think Lebby may have been the secret to Lane's in-game coaching and adjustments on offense.

Yeah. 24/7 wrote a great article about Lebby's first OC job (after the Baylor stuff) at Southeastern, a NAIA school. They got a quote from an OL that was on his team saying that his favorite part of the offense was that by the second half, the defense was so gassed that they'd see the pass rushers have to leave the field for a few plays to throw up. I don't know if we will see that much against SEC conditioned foes - NAIA is basically 13th grade football - but that should give you an idea of pacing.

That team also averaged something like 52 points per game, which was 5th in the entire country that year among all divisions of college football, so we're talking like 1000 teams.
    WHY IS EVERYONE YELLING?!?

You may be on to something there. I think Lane is the best in football at scripting the first two drives. Have any of yall noticed how fast they play their first two drives and if they score both times, they keep their foot on the offense the rest of the game. But, if they do t score on the first two drives, they slow down a little bit and the game is usually a dog fight. It doesn't look like many, if any, offensive adjustments are made.

    Bingo.

It hit me when I saw Lebby making adjustments in the second half of both games. His offense never really stalled out. He had answer for just about every defense they played.

There are some really good videos of Lebby breaking down his QB Pre/Post snap reads on his RPO. There a lot of other ones breaking down his run blocking and offensive schemes. Dude is super bright. The good thing is the offense seems pretty simple and should be easy to grasp.

I heard Lebby likes to run 80 plays a game.

Bingo on lane! You survive his scripted plays without giving up a bunch of points and lane seems to get lost after that. You make em drive the field that first quarter and hold them to fgs or nothing and it's game on. He's predictable that way ever since he's been coaching. Lebby knows lane stuff well!

My question is what plays are they going to EXECUTE every 20 seconds? This is a question and not a statement of the upcoming offense.

From seeing what I saw, you need a QB with a really good arm to really stretch the field. Can yall imagine Will Rogers trying to throw a ball from one side to the other like what Huepel runs at UT. If your going to stretch it, you need a QB who can get it out there quickly. We really gotta pay for a good one this year to make everything work. Well that and OL, DL, LB, DB.... Shit we need alot...
