I think Cal Berkeley is about the worst school for any bowl. They are way richer than MSU alumni but unless you are torching federal monuments or protesting something, Cal won't show up in numbers.
Hawaii can only host bowls, expensive flight in or out. Colorado State has zero fans these days. More vendors and staff than fans when I visit that place.
Good to get an extra practice.

So, there are 44 post season opportunities and there are only going to be 81 bowl eligible schools, 79 if JMU and Jax State don't get a waiver.
So, at least three 5-7 schools will be going bowling. Where do rank on the academics?

81 bids of 82 accounted for as JMU and JSU already have their waiver. Colorado State gets spot #82 if they come back and win tonight. If they don't, Minnesota gets it. We miss out by 1 spot.

Honestly if we went to a bowl it would have been a mess. It would have been somewhere like the Mobile Bowl and we probably would have gotten beaten by some directional MAC school.

There is always the chance that a qualified school could decline a bowl bid.

Always possible a different team does not accept for whatever reason. Way I understand it is we are 1 away looking out. Very tiny slim amount of hope
