Does everyone realize elko?s team..
Has REGRESSED from year one to year two? If everyone mentioned he?s one of the worst hires we could make in my opinion.

He is 6 and 5 this year. Not good!

LSU buddy of mine thinks Elko would be a home run hire. I have no idea on him.

Leonard has missed 4 games this season, and they've lost 3 of them. Missing your qb is a big deal

His last 2 losses are with the 2nd then 3rd string QB. Leonard is pretty good

This. Leonard is dang good and they've missed him big time. Lots of teams struggle without qb1.

Dan Mullen regressed year over year multiple times in his career at MSU. 9-4 year 2 to 7-6 in year 3. 9-4 in year 7 to 6-7 in year 8.
Was Dan a bad coach because of that? Because the year after he left a lot of folks thought we could have competed for the West had he stayed.
And anyone that says Elko would be bad but then justifies Odom or Malzahn or Herman needs to reevaluate their agenda. I can understand wanting a young P5 coach with success. But judging someone based on a year 2 "regression" at a lower tier P5 school that's no longer the laughing stock of a P5 conference because of said coach makes no sense.
Elko would be a solid hire. Best on paper hire we would have made since Sherrill.

And he?s had a slew of injuries, and at the most important position. But go ahead and look like an idiot. Hey Saban has regressed from 2 years ago. Should definitely get rid of him. And if Georgia loses another game in the future, Smart will have regressed?fire him too.

I would say no. There are legitimate factors that play into losses. If you refuse to take anything like that into account, I guess you can say they regressed.
But considering his starting QB was out for it their loss this past weekend and they still have one game to play to get to 7 plus a bowl game to get to 8, I think you could make the case for - 1 win under those circumstances not indicating regression.

Yeah his teams are competitive as heck. They play hard and even with all the injuries they've been right there in every game.

He beat Clemson 28-7 this year. Clemson. Do you realize he's at Duke. Had Notre Dame beat until the end. Lost by 7. Blew out Doeren and NC State. Played decent against FSU then their QB got hurt. So no, they haven't regressed.

I'd take him. Duke ain't exactly bama and their football history has been awful. He's winning there and had qb1 not been injured(as well as others) they had a shot at double digit wins.
