Yeah they had big issues, I believe Pinkel saw the writing on the wall and with his health issues was tired of dealing with it. Odom wouldn't be my choice but he did an ok job at Missouri with what he inherited.

He inherited a team 1 year removed from back to back SEC Championship appearances. And immediately went 4-8 with an NFL QB.

Odom is better than Lebby. If we settle for Lebby over a guy who has been a head coach twice plus an asst. head coach at Arkansas, where Pittman called him invaluable, then we totally, royally shit the bed. Odom is nowhere near my top choice but I don't consider Lebby. There is nothing on his resume that says he can be a successful head coach. Odom gets a Mulligan for part of his Missouri stint b/c they went full retard. He got UNLV turned around QUICK. He's also a DC that has an eye for up tempo, innovative offenses. His OCs have done well. And I can't believe I'm defending Odom but he is clearly a better candidate than Jeff Lebby.
