I guess I can say this now, but Jim Ellis
and my Dad were speaking on the phone the day before the Egg Bowl. Jim said if we won we were going to the Liberty Bowl. Pretty matter of fact about it. I think they've known all along.

Why, given the presumed secrecy around the bowl announcements on Sunday, would they make such a blatant statement tonight by changing that photo? It seems like an odd choice to me. Maybe premature? Planned to change it on Sunday?
I dunno. Just 'liked' the page the other day so that I could see updates and there it is.

That was a cold damn day.

A couple of thoughts.
1) Glad we aren't playing UCF in this year's Liberty Bowl
B) Hopefully it will be a little warmer this time.

C) hopefully they will have ALL GATES open this time instead of turning the masses of state fans around for other gates thus creating enormous delay & confusion ......... and if we get lucky, they might even talk the Memphis PD into providing some kind of traffic control this time

It's always bad regardless of what they do. I've been stuck in mobs trying to find their way out at U of M games when there's a crowd of no more than 6,000 or so. It just seems to be a poorly designed stadium as far as foot traffic goes.
-
I did not witness all the problems I've heard about. We got there early and went straight to our seats as soon as they opened the gates. Of course, we froze to death.
-
Got to the stadium about 2 hours early and got in my seat with about 10 min left in the 1st quarter.
-
Got in my seat about end of 1st quarter. There was traffic (I mean inside stadium) flowing in all directions. Ridiculous. I'll be there stupendously early this time.
The Liberation will not be televised--- when it arrives like lightning in the skies!
