We're a more northerly latitude by a couple of degrees than where this guy was reporting on (north Texas) so peak here is right now - mid to late October.

We've met most of his criteria - had enough rain in the summer, and October has mostly had decently warm days and cool nights. But we haven't had any rain to speak of in the past 4 or 5 weeks so we punt on that one.

When the Space and Rocket camera https://www.waff.com/weather/cams/ is pointed to the east toward downtown, in the daytime, you can see some of the meh color we have. At the moment is pointed west, presumably to pick up the sunset for the weather report. Maybe the color will get better. Around the S&RC there are quite a few sugar maples that tend to have beautiful golden color, and those trees are scattered around elsewhere. Could be things are just a bit late.

I think it's a little substandard even in New England. They've had plenty of rain though.
