Who refused to throw the football away and took the sac before halftime? Also, why did he refuse is the big question? Was it attitude or genetics that caused the ball not to be thrown away so we could not take the sac that appeared to mentally affect the team?

Will was dreadful tonight. Had less than 100 yards passing in 4th qtr. most of which was run after catch on passes behind or barely past the LOS.

How is that even possible with a 3-yr starter at QB?

Look, Will only had 17 opportunities tonight. The OLine was getting destroyed up the middle every time he dropped back for a shot. I wouldn?t say this game was on him. 12/17 or whatever isn?t terrible, and the OLine has to do their job to give him a moment.

The entire play selection mix today sucked. If we do this again, we will lose.

Who reads the defense and identifies blitzes? He has regressed to being shell-shocked at any kind of blitz. ****ing Arizona scared him.

Will missed two open receivers for touchdowns. As a fourth year starter that's unacceptable. Those two touchdowns would have made it 28-0 and the game changes for Fisch. And 17 passes for the SEC pass leader is ridiculous. Barbay's game plan was shit. He's had far, far better game plans for opponents in his history as an OC. If Barbay is just trotting Will out there to hand the ball off to Woody and overthrow open receivers, shit, Mike can do that AND RUN THE BALL HIMSELF.

Barbay had a game plan to establish the run and he failed. In the process he completely handcuffed the QB and receivers. There was no rhythm to the offense at all.

All of that to end up with only 145 yards on 35+ rushes is PATHETIC.

They scared our coaches too! One of Will?s best attributes is his confidence. We keep doing what we did last night, Barbary will take away Will?s confidence. Then where would we be?

I thought Will handed it off great last night, though. And completed a good percentage without an interception. He took one very bad sack. So I don?t see him being any problem for us right now. It?s coaching. Barbary came in and said he molds his offense around his players, didn?t appear that way last night. Arnett said we are a bi-polar team, blamed the coaches for the game plan. Blamed himself for going conservative, and said he was proud of the players. He said they did what was asked of them well, they just weren?t asked to do the right things. We?ll see. It?ll be very easy to see if he was correct, and they can change their ideas on gameplanning, subs and play calling.

Both can be true. Will needs great OL play to be good. Will also needs to use the 3 years of starting experience to outsmart the defense, else what is the value in his experience?

Will always has had an issue with keeping his eyes up when pressured.

He plays like he's a freshman, not a FOUR year starter.

Another thing of memory is Will screwing up the end of the Egg Bowl. He nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. His stupid cowardly run deflated the whole team and breathed life into Ole Miss. The same can be said for the sac taken before half time in which the team mentally regressed. I watched many football games on Saturday and college football high lites on YouTube and most quarterbacks had issues with pressure. Many of those quarterbacks distributed quick match up passes to beat the pass rush and their receivers made plays. Will did not distribute one 50-50 pass to help out his O Line or play caller. This for a FOUR YEAR STARTER?

It's not the same Will that brought us back to beat AU in 2021. As I posted on another thread, Will took a sack on 3rd and 3 with a wide open crossing route in front of him. If he just moved away from the pressure he had a clear throw to, I believe, Creed who was in front of his defender and open. Instead he folds like a cheap tent and takes the sack. Can't do that as a fourth year starter.

It has been clear since day 1 what Will is. A system QB who can be very good in a specific system, but not great because of lack of arm strength/athleticism and the will to push the ball downfield and take shots. Now that he is in a new system that isn't the perfect fit for him, getting more exposed. It sucks, but I care more about State than any individual player. Wild we're still having this discussion 3 years later.

Will's not a baller IMO ... not a warrior. He's doing his best not to get hit and he is way too overly concerned with that. He doesn't take time in the pocket to survey the field like de Laura did last night. He takes a quick glance down the field maybe and dumps it off. If you wanna call that a check down you can but IMO he doesn't even check down cause he ain't progressing thru his receivers/routes. de Laura got hit quite a few times last night while trying to make something good happen. When Will gets hit it's almost always him folding up and taking the sack.

He doesn't ball out like Daniels & Travis did in LSU-FSU game. They were fighting and scrapping. Tom Brady ain't mobile either but he'll stay back there and take the licks while throwing the ball.

He's a fourth year QB. If he doesn't have the option to audible out of a play and we're just running plays as called what the **** is his experience for? Nah actually this is a stupid stupid STUPID comment. So many plays are option/read at all levels based on the defense. Like wow your football knowledge might be negative.
