I've seen some mention Will rolling to his left, obviously a harder throw but one of his best throws Sat was a rollout to his left throwing back with good enough zip on the ball and accuracy to get a first down. That was a fine throw.

No there is not. He was tested feom the minute he got on campus.

He had a LOT more adversity his senior year too. A RB that wouldn't block LBs and receivers that dropped everything all the time. And a coach that not only sucked but let him take all the blame too.

Bucky always blames the receivers but outside of Fred Ross, the receivers that Will has been blessed with are far superior than any that ever played with Fitz.

Will's a good kid. Doesn't mean he's a tough enough SEC QB tho.

ETA: And I'm not one saying Wright should start either.
Yep no one is immune to evaluating performance. Fitz was true maroon. Fitz battled like no one.

Will is Will. Not best fit for this O but we'll have to ride him rest of year. Wright must see the field and be used as the weapon he is. Coaches realize that and did so and have said so. Now what form that takes, we'll see what develops.

Fr. Lol. I still think Sawyer Robertson is the answer. Braedyn Locke if not, surely.

But I stand by my comment based on how bad he was looking. First game jitters. But that first half MSU goes 3-9 this year. We can't have that. 4-0 start is very doable and we need to do it. Second half MSU was a 7-5/8-4 team. But we didn't show what I know he can physically do. At this point it feels like a mental thing. I'd rather him try to be Tyler Russell statue esque if he's gonna suck this bad at throwing on the run. That's not his game and he needs to play to his strengths.

He needs to watch Dan Marino film on pocket mobility. That's how he should be avoid defenders. Stepping into throws. We'll see if he can unlock the 12 win version of this team that the talent is absolutely there for.
a 4-0 start is doable but not likely. That's a tall ask for ANY MSU team when the opponent is LSU and then your first road game of the year against a comparable SEC team.

We will know more Saturday night after taking on a quality opponent, but that team that showed up in the first half does not compete with LSU. Don't care how bad they looked against FSU. Jayden Daniels has the wheels to get to the outside which SELA did repeatedly, and if we get no push from the DL, Nabers is going to eat up our secondary.

We still have to worry about DeLaura first. Bad things can always happen when you go against a very mobile QB.

I just want us to win and Will to make some fantastic plays in some wins to remove that play from the OM game that is still seared in my brain where he turned and ran toward the OM goal line to prevent his being sacked. I still wonder how many yards he would have run if they haven't tackled him. Wrong Way Jim Marshall?*****
