Good to see Larry ranked so high for him as a person. But sad for MSU-2024 I was hoping there was a snowball's chance.
Where is Kellum Clark? Could MSU get him back for 2024?
-
It would be big to only lose Houck out of the class.

No. Clark needs to go

I like Clark. He hit better this year and has effortless power. Too many Solo HRs but that's about others getting on base. He does not have +8.00 ERA, he is an asset.

Clark will move the LF/1B on the next level. He will get drafted late and sign for a little this year or come back- get drafted late- and sign for a little less next year

I like Kellum too. But he'll be 23 next year. Time to get started on his pro career.
Plus depending on a certain someone entering the portal, we could be upgrading at his position.

I would be happy to have Clark next year, but if he's ready to move on, then I wish him the best. He did a lot good things for us over his career.

I want him to chase his dream, fine by me. But I appreciate this player.
His 2-run HR versus Virginia was massive. He smashed a shitty Leftie's No Hitter. I wish he was around in 89 when a shitty lefty messed up a great season.

I was critical of some of his weak at bats in key situations, but he is still one of the heroes of that 2021 team. If he doesn?t hit that 2 run HR against Virginia to break up the no hitter, I?m not sure Lemonis gets to claim a Natty on his otherwise weak resume.

I agree with you. Don't think we win it without Clark. He played a vital role in some key spots.

I wouldn't count on that

He didn't hit a shitty lefty he hit a RHP that was throwing 96.

Griff McGarry was still in the game for Clark. That's the lefty with the no hitter through-7 innings.
The righty was Stephen Schoch, but the HR on that guy was from Tanner Allen.

You are correct on everything except McGarry was a RHP.

Maybe you need to go back and watch it. A rhp started it and was the pitcher Clark faced. You tube it. It's there

And he wasn't a soft thrower. At ALL. But other than that yeah.....

Uh, McGarry was a hard throwing RHP with good stuff.

If I remember correctly, he was drafted in the 1st round out of high school and he was our top recruit that was coming to State. I think he has had good career at State. I?m not sure why his stock has fallen.
