    LIV/PGA/PGM Program at State

Any idea if the LIV/PGA merger will have any effect on the PGM Program at State? It's been a great program and, hopefully, the additional money flowing into professional golf will trickle down to the PGM.

No, the merger will have no effect on the PGM Program at State. LIV/PGA is/will be for professional that play golf for a living. The PGM Program is for grooming future professionals to manage a country club or public golf course for a living. There's really no crossover.

    "great program"?

    Google can enlighten:

"What's the controversy around LIV Golf?
LIV Golf and Saudi Arabia have been accused of using "sportswashing" to gloss over human rights abuses in the country, such as the 2018 killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, which the CIA said occurred on the orders of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman."

"Sources told ESPN that the PGA Tour and LIV Golf have each spent tens of millions of dollars defending themselves in a federal antitrust lawsuit that LIV Golf and 11 of its players filed against the PGA Tour in August. The PGA Tour filed a countersuit, claiming LIV Golf interfered with its contracts with players."

    Sounds fantastic!

My 'great program' reference was to the curriculum at State, the notoriety it has given the university, and the quality of the graduates.
