Solo Skiff's
Tell me this isn't awesome. http://www.soloskiff.com/ . I recently just got into kayak fishing and this looks like the ultimate toy to me. It's $2,850 and that sounds like a lot but folks routinely shell that out for Hobie Kayaks. If I had that type of dough I would buy one of these. It's rated for up to a 5hp motor and says with the 5hp and a 200lb user, it will go 18mph. Beats the hell out of paddling. Then when you get in shallow flats or marshes, just pole it around. This looks awesome to me.

if I were ever going to kayak fish that would be the way to go .... the cost sounds reasonable to me and a small 5 hp outboard won't set you back very much
-
sharp little rig.... but can't you do the same with a jonboat?
-
pushing a jonboat with a pole wouldn't be easy ... stealth & low draft are what's in play with these

a slough doesn't have tidal influence and usually has deeper water than marshlands

Not trying to argue, but have yo ever been in a slogh in a foot and a half water when a barge went by? You'll be sitting on the ground till the water comes back in a few minutes... LOL
I've got to try some of that stuff y'all do.... whole different world...
