    Memphis Bridge

Just went over Memphis Bridge. 2 miles out from bridge traffic came to a stop. Only took 15 min from there to cross. 5:15-5:30.

Coming from W. Memphis has gotten much faster.

I tried to cross it at the beginning of May. Traffic didn't move for 2.5 hours about 7 miles from the bridge. Decided to go up to Dyersburg and cross.

I-40 Memphis bridge has been shut down since mid May because a main support beam was found to be cracked in half.
The latest projection for completion of repairs is end of July.
The only other option, in Memphis, is of course the old I-55 bridge. Delays at this one is determined by the time of day. I hate that one though because, for me, it feels like it was built out of an old erector set. The next closest option is Helena.

If your map ap, tells you I55 is backed up, take I240(midtown). Get off on Lamar (in midtown... exit 29), that becomes Crump Blvd. Crump Blvd ends onto the I55 bridge west.

There are a number of other routes too if you are feeling adventurous. I240-S Parkway-Mississippi Blvd-Crump Blvd-I55 bridge.

    I240 - Union Ave- Front St - Riverside dr - I55.
