    It's not always necessary

I remember years when we would beat Jackson State 25-1 or something similar and then go into a major slump against good SEC pitchers and shit the bed come regional time.

I’m not sure that struggling a little bit against these type teams, sandwiched between an sec sweep and a big sec series is a bad thing as long as you get the W.

You get a chance to recharge mentally and refocus. The only negative is not getting some younger players playing time.

Anytime you can refocus and learn and still win, it’s a good thing. The biggest positive from tonight is we pitched it pretty well. Nights like this winning is all that matters imo.

My take away is the offense struggled but our coaches pitched this game as if it was a conference or tournament game. He made them hit spots and didn’t deviate. He learned something about a few of our pitchers tonight. Offense will be fine Thursday

5-1 Dogs win. Glad we got the W. Now let’s win the series at Arkansas.

He was a premium HS talent, finally panning out. More like he stopped dogging this year and now he will be a decent draft pick. He is on track to match and exceed jack Kruger this year who we all highly-regard and who was All SEC

Well when the ball is 82 and 7 inches outside and low, let the 17er pass.

When did he swing at one 7" outside. He didn't.

We won a game where we didn't give a rip and now per RPI it's impossible for us to have any bad losses this year.

    I'll take it.

The hits were spread out. It was a struggle but see I didn’t believe it would stay that way. At the point I posted we were in a tough spot but in multiple posts I said we would come through. The offense was a struggle today but I think we coached pitchers to spots tonight instead of just blowing them away. As weird as it sounds we got better tonight
