SBW Attendance
I assumed that there would be some sort of attendance record announced for 1st SBW in new Dude but haven't heard or seen anything. Does anyone know what attendance numbers were?

I think the crowds were pretty good, but the weather and opponent probably killed any chance of records being broken

Never saw an ounce attendance but it wouldn't be in the top 20 of actual crowds.

Why not just allow teams to play 1 game vs another school for a Spring Game?
Would actually bring some excitement & television ratings.

Most likely due to weather more than the opponent.

The scary weather cost State 8-10,000 fans over the three SBW games. Bad weather and a Thurs-Sat series cost us vs LSU, too. We will see when it gets warmer if we can get more crowds over 13k.

Is that actual attendance or tickets sold like football does? It looked full on television, other than the pricey seats between first and third.

Tickets sold. We used to the holdout on reporting actual attendance but the box score doesn't show it anymore.
If we have some good weather for the UGA game we should have a few more people in the stadium.. but if we are playing for a SEC Championship, even with the Th-Fr-Sat game setup of the last weekend.. bring on the crowds for USC.

So the actual attendance was probably 2 or 3 K less than that reported because of all the empty prime seats. I wish they'd stick with turnstile count. Anything else is deceptive.

Yep. There wasn't anywhere near 11k on sat. And less than 10 Friday too.

I was at the game on Saturday and by the 5th inning or so it had filled up pretty good

That would be extremely difficult to do and its not worth it. Stop scheduling FCS schools and schedule other P5 teams and play FCS schools during the spring.
Football from 7th grade on thru high school all play spring games, no reason why college football cant either
