One thing I wish T had done at some point this season
Is after about two and a half quarters of being the victim of felony assaults is just go straight thug crazy on the court. Anybody within five feet of her She makes them think she is about to stomp a complete and total mud hole in their ass. Get a reputation for being a 6'7" psycho with a short fuse and no problem going to prison.

And get ejected from them game? Yea, bold strategy
-
Kind of like a coach getting a technical on purpose. Send a message you're tired of being treated like a tackling dummy. I didn't say throw a punch to get ejected. Just act like you're about to.
-
I agree to a point. Kinda like fouling a hot player real hard to send a message. Not to hurt anyone that would be bad sportsmanship but nothing wrong with a hard foul.
-
There were a few games where she had fouls to give. I agree, she should have run right over someone a couple of times. They would have moved when she was coming thru the rest of the night!

I really don't think someone, especially someone who is taller, bigger , and stronger than the other players, on the floor, would want a reputation like that. It would put them more so under the officiating microscope for sure, and more chances that they would be charged with more phantom fouls.

Not really sure it could have gotten much worse than this season. Every night she got beat up like she owed people money.

And the refs let her get away with her turn with her elbow out....that is until today.

Screw that....I wish Holmes would have practiced and attempted three 3 pointers a game all season. No one guarded her outside the lane.

Just started watching the girls play this weekend I see.

I never understood why Holmes didn't shoot more 3s. She had a good shot. T won't make it in the WNBA unless she drastically develops more of a skill set.

Ha, good one.
The one today had the defender pushing her in back when she was off the floor receiving the ball too - typical of all year for those that have watched.

I have wondered this too. I went back and looked at 3pt attempts for Holmes and Danberry and it's pretty crazy the number of attempt (or lack thereof) from your two starting guards.
Holmes: 3-7
Danberry: 0-5
Don't get me wrong, both had great careers, but it's hard to believe we averaged so many points/game when your starting guards only attempt 12 threes on the year.

Blah blah blah .. some of you just make me want to throw up in my mouth. We had three point shooters (you know, the one with a knee injury) so it was their job to drive and shoot short range jumpers. Rarely do you have as many 3 point shooters as you saw on the home court of Oregon. It will be their downfall.

So you disagree with the thought that the other team packing it in the lane because there was no threat of our guards attempting a 3 point shot was at least a little bit of a problem? Did you watch the games?
The three point shooter you mentioned went down half way through the season highlighting the lack of 3 point shooters.
Nobody is saying Holmes and Danberry's game wasn't to drive and shoot short range jumpers. They were actually great at it. Just simply pointing out the fact that they were essentially 0 risk for taking a three. This gives the defense the opportunity to put three defenders on T, making life much harder on her.

Actually, it's not rare at all and is a staple of modern offenses. This is why defense can't win anymore. High powered offenses are way too difficult to guard. Missouri was similar to Oregon, but Oregon has the talent to pull it off. Traditional PGs and 5 players are outdated, but you can still win a lot of games with them in women's basketball because the talent disparity is so great.

Maybe they need to move the 3-point line even farther out. It was tried in the NIT for the men, and I suppose if the men adopt it the women will too (equality and all that).
