    Trophy Wall

How about we have a dedicated thread to posting pics of any and everything we kill. I'm also open to nice fish that are caught. Do others think this is a good idea? If so I think we need a sticky for it.

I'm definitely in favor of everyone posting their kills, catches, and hauls. My personal preference is to give each poster his own thread. A lot of time the picture will spawn conversation with other posters to discuss what equipment, technique, location, etc... I see a ton of threads on other outdoor boards like that and they are awesome.

Personally, Im not a fan of huge stickied threads. I think this board can get really big in the future for MSU sportsman and can be a great means to share our stories and also network. I think if we did a trophy thread it could be so big that individuals may not receive their proper shine for their kills, catches, and hauls.

That's what it's for and any input is always appreciated. User participation is what will make this board great!

That is a 5+ lb smallmouth caught off 7 mile island on Pickwick in Florence a couple years ago in March. Caught it on a humble bee 200 series bandit crankbait.. personal best SM. Lost one bigger than that. Had several in the 3-4# class that day plus some 3# white bass and some decent (up to 5#) LM.. One of those magical days. Best 5 would have busted 20 easy. I was fishing off the back of my buddy's Stroker (90+mph boat)

    What is TTB?

Actually, it didn't fight near as much as the 3's and 4's I caught... it shocked me when I lipped it... didn't know just how big it was till I got it in my hand... liked to have peed my pants... you can't tell how big around that sucker was from the pic. It was pushing 6, but we didn't have any scales.. like I said, the one I lost would have probably gone 7. I love it when the SM are spawning.. One of my buddies in the shoals (State grad) is a monster that time of year. He can get a 20# limit in about 30 min... it's all in the technique and conditions..

Those are cool! Fiberglass repros? I'm pretty much catch, photo, release.. but some get "released into grease"

When I went to my sister's home in Hawaii, I was supposed to go out with her buddy that has a charter boat for marlin, but it fell thru... I cried...
