Joe passes when he sees stacked boxes. That's the problem. We ran it good early, Grantham brought his safeties up, and Moorhead went "the numbers say it's time to pass". And he's right, the numbers did say that. The problems is that the WRs don't get much separation, the QB is flustered and inaccurate, and blitzes are coming with free rushers every time. Fix any 2 of the QB, WRs, or OL and passing would absolutely work. But as it was, we needed to run the football at all costs. Tell the OL to get nasty and that the game is on them. Pull the TE inside, let Fit follow the RB in the hole to even the numbers. If they play to stop the inside run you run it outside. That's what Mullen did last year.

Moorhead is being stubborn. He's 100% right that being able to pass is the only way to consistently counter a stacked box. he's right it would make the O better than ******* was last year. But with his shit OL coach ruining that unit, and with Fitz clearly not grasping waht he's been taight, he needs to cut his loses and Mullen -sorry, [I]run[I]- the crap out of it.

But he doesnt make the Ds sto pthe run, he makes them stack the box and then he passes. That's how you can have very good rushing numbers (3 carries for 31 yards) and then go away from it never to return.

Too early to make that statement imo. Croom was pretty bad. Joe very well may be worse though since he has more talent and still sucks. We'll see

These last 2 games are 100% Croom level bad offensively. With way more talent.
