Terrible news in the world of professional fishing.

If any of you follow the B.A.S.S. professional circuits, you probably know that there is a B.A.S.S. Central Division Open on Ross Barnett this week, starting Thursday. I just read where one of the anglers from Texas here practicing over the weekend was shot and killed at the Motel 6 on I-55 where he was staying. Tragic news.

That is just insane... However, as an angler, you need to be aware of your surroundings. Especially where you stay. Security is a big issue whenever there is a big tournament anywhere these days.

Wow, that is terrible. I've been seeing a ton of bass boats lately and now I know why. That news is just awful

ETA- I hate the crime in Jackson with a passion. It's just out of control
