    iCast 2018 stuff I liked

    Pelican Catch 130 HD
    https://www.rapidmedia.com/kayakangl...e-pedal-system

The Hobie mirage drive patent ran out (the one without reverse) and Pelican is putting out a boat with the Hobie drive due out in Jan for $1499. A lot left to be figured out but outstanding layout, cheap price, proven drive technology.

    Shimano Curado DC
    https://m.tackledirect.com/shimano-c...ing-reels.html

The guys at shimano got the ?dc? technology (aka digital computer) in the $249 price point Curado. Essentially a smart reel that on the highest setting is impossible to backlash. Love the tech that used to only be on $500+ reels.

    Suffix Advanced Mono
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nPVHYeP2ex0

The first big upgrade mono has seen with all the recent innovations mostly in braid and flouro. Low stretch and uses some braid tech from the 832 line (which I love). Definitely trying the out.

    Livetarget fleeing shrimp
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8WOdMczumGI

Best looking shrimp jig I?ve ever seen. Don?t love that the lightest one is 3/8 oz but I?ll buy a cpl for sure. Won best in category.

The Shimano SLX. That's the price point I like to stay around for reels (Abu Orra has been stellar for me at that price, but they seem to be even cheaper now). TBH, I haven't looked into the components yet to see if it will hold up in salt.

Saw that. Perhaps they saw 13 have some success with the origin tx and decide to jump in.
