They also want a quick fix to get back there so they cheat their ass off to get close to that level but they never quite do and it usually ends up in a couple of good seasons followed by a massive dumpster fire for awhile. They are not willing to do things the right way even if it means having a losing season to build. Plus, their whole marketing strategy as a university hurts them because when you target Texas and Georgia and you are in Mississippi you end up with a fan base that is really spread out.

I hate vacated wins. I hate forfiets. A win by forfiet may officially be a win but doesn't feel like one. A vacated win is even more bizarre. Both results are lame. All such punishments should be removed from the matrix and/or thought process and instead offenders should lose more scholarships! I still don't get why the NCAA doesn't get this. If they would bury a couple of programs it would staighten half this crap out. Programs cheat because it is not risky enough.
