Back when smoking was allowed in Davis Wade, at the ramp on the south end of the Club Level, they stored a bunch of broken down cardboard boxes ... right under the ash tray that was mounted on the wall. I was always mildly concerned that a fire would start there. The solution was not to move the boxes, but to ban smoking all over campus.

It was on the property not 30 feet behind the store and the wind blowing towards it. Wouldn't have been impossible for embers to be blown onto something flammable on the roof and start a fire there.

Surveillance cameras caught three kids setting the fire. Did $23,000 in damages.
