    Bass are bedding

My dad caught a 6lb on a crappie jig Sunday. I was planning on going tomorrow but I?m a little under the weather. Can?t catch a break!

Everyone is saying the bass are on the beds, the crappie are feeding, and the brim will be read by the next full moon. And I am killing myself trying to restore my reputation on killing a turkey. Skunked so far this year, and I am becoming obsessed to the point that the faimly can stand to be around me. Man, I love/hate this time of year. The only good and bad thing is that I just landed in Augusta for Masters week. Great to be here, but bad that I am not in the woods. Geez!

Yeah Beast, they’ve been shallow for a month or a little better. Been catching good ones up tight at Caroline until about the last week. (Haven’t been since Friday). Those shallow fish can come up and get out quick. Seems like a lot have spawned already.

You sound a lot like me my friend. I did catch some fish the other day but it was at about 10 o clock after leaving the turkey woods disappointed...again.

Heard 4 hammering the morning before, went back next day same spot, heard 1 wayyyyy the hell off. They will drive you crazy

I’ve been hammering the bass on a crawshrimp fly (only using the fly rod these days). If you haven’t tried bass on a fly rod you should, it’s a whole different experience.

I gave up on the turkeys. Sometimes the high water helps and sometimes it hurts. This year it hurt to the point where I’ve never seen it this bad. I’m not sure I have a bird on either of my places.
