Rough Sunday on the diamonds....

the baseball team blew a 2 run lead in the 9th in a game that could have given us some hope that this year will not be a total dumpster fire but alas couldn't win. 2-4 at this stage in the SEC would be a huge difference from 1-5.

Softball Sunday was worse if only because we have a really good team there. Had a 2-1 lead in the Top of the 7th on #7 Georgia needing one out to take the series but gave up the go ahead runs and lost 3-2.

Glad the WBB team salvaged the day with winning their regional to go to the Final Four!

This season has really made me appreciate how important good defense is. we've give up a lot of games this year because of errors. LA really hasn't lived up to his billing as a defensive stud, and even Mangum and Stovall seem worse defensively. Add in 3-4 freshman and whoever the sad excuse of a cater we have behind the plate is, and it's really bad overall.

We're 11th in the conference in fielding %age, 8th in ERA, THIRTEENTH in BA, last in slugging %, and last in OBP. damn hell I knew it was bad, but that's brutal.

Sadly, we were 14th in batting average last week so we've actually improved. Thanks SWAC teams!

Alexander throwing mechanics are bad. He is getting to balls, but not getting anything on this throws or throwing wildly. This team is poorly coached top to bottom.

All Westburg had to do was charge the ball. Bases were loaded. Charge the ball, eliminate the short 2nd hop, get the guy at home for sure. We win that game if that happens.

I know he’s a freshman, but it’s all situational stuff we aren’t executing. That’s another example and in this situation it kept Mizzou alive and they came back and won.
