If he can catch the ball yes. If safeties are having to occupy Guidry, then Todd becomes a ridiculous threat on the other side.

Mixon is good in the slot when healthy. Curious to see what we do with the slot position. If Whop is put in the slot as has been mentioned- thats a crowded position with the return on Dear and Thomas being another year older

Agree. I think this WR core is going to surprise a lot of teams come the fall.

If this happens, what keeps us from possibly being the best team in the country?

Amazing how it always ends up this way.

Every stacked team we’ve ever had has had to go to Bama.

Bama and The SEC west ... have to get lucky. There are some postings where we can’t get hit bad by the injury bug
    OL, LB, and CB

Chauncey Rivers and Montez Sweat owned our OTs yesterday.

Im not a big fan of not bringing a lot of pressure but if those 2 are playing the way they did yesterday we could drop 7 or 8 in coverage on every 3rd down.

Our edge rotation is going to be nasty. Rivers/Sweat, Green/Spencer, Odom/Adams

    Good points.

I also I think it’ll help our tackles to go against them everyday.

Who does Rivers compare to? Doesnt have to be an MSU player

So teams have to double Simmons alot- they will have to use a RB to help with Sweat alot- that leaves Rivers 1 on 1 and Thomas 1 on 1. Then if we bring someone- the QB is ****ed.

Teams will have to take their chances with some 1 on 1's with Sweat/Simmons or max protect alot against us.

When was the last time this was posted and NOBODY...not one poster...even questioned that might’ve been the case because our OTs were substandard? Ever??

This to me is the only thing that potentially stops us. We should be favored in every game we play except that one and possibky the Auburn game depending how they look.

This is the best team that has ever been assembled in Starkville. That’s not hyperbole. That’s fact. We will look back on this team amazed at how many solid college players and how many drafted guys were on the roster at the same time and be stunned.

Our OL line last year had trouble blocking Rivers on the scout team..
when a Kobe Jones is battling to get reps and rolling with the 3’s that tells you how good this front 4 will be ..

Being this team is senior laden I'm expecting Fitz to have a Manziel type game there. No reason for him not to at this point. The coaches will also put him In better situations as well. I love the fact Coach Mo will attack on offense.
