Moorhead got a lot of pressure on him

Very rarely (if ever) in our history has a coach in any sport here came in under the expectations Moorhead is facing this season. Moorhead has a very talented roster and expected to win 9-10 games. It is crazy to think that joe could win 8 games this year and be looked at as underperforming.

He likely wont have a team at State more talented than the one he will have this Fall. 8-4 would be complete failure

I need to se them on the field in a competitive game before I buy into that. Not saying you are wrong, I just don't trust preseason evaluation when it comes to MSU. I'm too old a Dawg for that.

Thats the thing- we've seen everybody except Guidry, Rivers, Landrews and Cole. We return the most starters in the SEC I believe. Last time that happened was 2014.

If that is true, why did we hire him? My expectation is that he will continue to improve our football program for years to come. We won't win big every year. But some years we will. Next year, I think we lose to BAMA, Auburn, and LSU. And we could easily lose at K-State (very tough on their home turf) or Kentucky. I would say 8-4 should be our minimum and 10-2 our high end. Stick a gun to my head and I would say 9-3 with another trip to Florida for a bowl.

LSU's offense was shut out in their 1st scrimmage the other day. We arent losing to LSU- I dont care where the game is played.

My statement is based on the fact that this will be the most talented team we have had at State in my lifetime- and we are going to lose alot of it after this season. It's going to be hard to amass this much talent in Starkville again. We are one of the 10 most talented teams in the country.

I thought this was hilarious. They play the toughest schedule in the country this year, that’ll be fun to watch.

Hilarious? That would be your calling yourself a “bulldog1” fan but predicting gloom and doom.

This team is ranked near the top talent wise but the kicker is they are a seasoned group. Amassing talent again will not be the problem. However, having a talented senior laden team is humongous! I just hope they buy in to the new coaching and at times make the needed adjustments as coaches will rely on them mutually.

There is no sure loss on this schedule with this team. We will be better than LSU, I know its down there but we dont fear them or that place anymore.

Auburn and Bama will be good but Barn is at home and at Bama could be for the west.

Kentucky???? This team isnt losing to Kentucky. Sorry

    Rep

(sad there are are enough pu—ies that a “maybe we’ll win a couple games” limp-wristed approach is even in question)

I expect K-State will be harder than some expect but we are most def the better team. I do respect them though, we all should

Unfortunately, there are 4 games that could easily be losses.
    K State
    Bama
    Aub
    TCUN

And we have a better team than LSU, but strange things happen in Baton Rouge.

We don’t have a DB that can cover AJ. There will have to be D-Line pressure on Tamu to keep the shart WRs from burning us.

AUB has Stidham. Again, DL and pressure is key.

KState is a bit of an unknown, but JoMo may not have his offense in full effect early season.

People are sleeping on Dantzler, Peters, Cole and Tyler Williams. That is a solid 2 deep of CBs

If we lose to Kansas State, it's going to be a long year.

Agreed. Kansas State doesn?t scare me. This team should run circles around them. Only team that scares me is Bama. The rest don?t scare me. They may be good, but every team on our schedule is beatable except probably Alabama. We could win that game but you don?t call them beatable. The rest of the teams we can because we have done it before.

But not one fan should be scared of Kansas State
