    BTW, here are pilk numbers...

    16.0 ip 13 h 3 er 1 bb 23 k
    Era = 1.69
    Whip = 0.88
    K to bb ratio = 23:1

    If preacher wants to argue we have a better player than pilk, let him be foolish. The mlb draft will show who is right
    He's had 3 starts and walked 1 batter total? Dang, that's good!

    Pilk needs to give us more IP per start as the season goes on, but that is the only mark against him so far

    Yea. Keep the pitch count down a little more.

    If Pilkington keeps striking out a ton of hitters then his pitch count is going to get up there a lot of times.

    Yea, so he'll probably go 5-6 innings max most nights. I'm fine with it as long as our bullpen is decent.

    And from watching the game last night- France needs to be our Saturday starter. But he is still on camp mode because of his arm injury. Small is in a similar boat- he should be our Sunday guy and he doesn't look quite 100% to me. Need to piggyback Keegan, McQuary, Billingsley, Gordon, etc with those guys.

    Agree on all. I like Billingsley, but I really like France. He should be in the rotation.

    Honestly- France looked just about as good as Pilkington last night until he got tired.

    Not only that but if our offense doesn't come around we are not going to give any of our better pitchers much relief because we will never have more than a 2 or 3 run lead at best. We've now gone 4 straight games scoring 3 runs and this last one took 12 innings to get to 3 runs. Not much power in the lineup and we lose runs also by continually making baserunning blunders.

    Our baserunning is Little League bad. The first thing I would do when we got back to Starkville would be to emphasize that aspect of the game because we kill ourselves being stupid.

    Our pitching is gonna be fine if not great as year goes on I think.

    FoamBat ain’t ever sitting unless he gets dinged up so there’s that. I’d like to see Vansau as everyday RF bc he adds pop. Macnamee and Hatcher platoon at DH for awhile unless Hatcher is just so lost without Cann as I think he really connected there. Play Allen everyday at 1b. I think we will be serviceable at C.

    Between FoamBat, catcher and if we play too much Poole (who I like bc he does a lot of little things and plays great def) we end up with about 6.5 hitters in our lineup. Will be a delicate balance of defense and trying to scrounge out runs. Prob see a lot more defense on fri/sat and try to add some offense on Sun. At least until we find a steady Sun guy (France).

    We have speed but don't use it. Poole stealing second won the game. Why did we wait till the 12th to run? We had perfect chance to hit and run with Jake and Stovall but didn't. We don't have Rooker to win it so we must be more aggressive with our speed.Poole needs to bunt at least once a game.Jordan is a player.

    I agree. We probably don't run as much because we turn it into a circus half the time.

    I like it. Why is Jordan Anderson not getting any playing time?

    Taite at least set a school record. FoamBat is Holloway- shouldnt start and should just be a situation player
