I say give them the entire lower level opposite the TV cameras. That's apparently what Auburn does. That also happens to be the largest concentration of cooperate and big donar no shows.

I agree. Duke, NC, etc...Having the students around the floor impacts the games big time.

Well, I emailed John Cohen about it a month or so ago, but never got a response lol. Something needs to happen IMO

Give them lower level on both ends behind basket.

Heck NO. We did that, and it destroyed the student section. Everybody agreed on that. Whatever you do don't split them up again.

I think at Auburn the get 1st 9 rows all the way around except behind benches excluding the 1st row courtside.

Season ticket holder in FB, but don't make many BB games. Have you guys noticed how dark the Hump looks on TV? It looks like we don't have a single light bulb up there and every seat is empty.

It obviously started when the student section was moved, just a warmup for what they will do to baseball attendance

Agreed! Today was the loudest the Hump has been in many years!

If it had been full, and with a packed student section it might have approached what it was. I wasn't there, but my son was. There is no way a less than than half full student section even came close to what it could be. Now loudest in many years was very probably true.

The SEC network guys had nothing but great things to say about the atmosphere at the Hump, Starkville, etc.

It's been this way at State for years and years. Last weekend the students stayed in town because the OM game and women's game vs. A&M was on campus. So this weekend they went home. There has always been a certain percentage of the student population who cannot stay away from their parents for more than two weeks at a time.

If we winning the students will show up if they have to stand out in the lobby. This argument has been beat to death, it is what it is.
Would anyone of you if you were the AD have enough guts to kick those high dollar donors out of their seats and put students in them who may or may not show up according to how the team is playing?

Students don't deserve any special seating they just don't. There's thousands of students on campus & we can't get more than 300-400 kids to the biggest game of the year. Show up fill the student section like the old days then talk to me about putting them around the court. They don't fill up the lower level seats they get now.

Students are the reason collegiate sports exist.
