You wouldn't have heard the first word from them. They would have swept it under the rug faster than hell. Not our bunch. Got to have message board cred.

Yep, I said the same thing essentially back early in the thread. Their administration would have covered it up along with their fanbase and kept going. Given the first post of this thread was "We are MState" it was pretty obvious we had already had some crap hit the fan. OM would have covered this all up and paid off whoever needed to be paid off to keep quiet.

Some of you sound like you would want MSU to sweep it under the rug.

Well, to be fair it's really none of our business even though we are alumni.

Call it sweeping under the rug, ignoring it or forgiving it but if every college coach who is having an affair or who has had an affair got fired, there wouldn't be a lot of college coaches left. The only complicating factor is they were in the same workplace when the affair started. I tend to agree, as others have also said, that there are more complicating factors around this. Otherwise, it likely would have never come to light.

Hard to go into a recruit's house and look their family and them in the eye, knowing youre a liar and a cheater, and knowing they know it, too, and every other coach you're recruiting against is filling their ears with every detail of what you did and the real person you are. you sweep it under the rug people don't know jack about big time recruiting.

I kind of disagree. They would acknowledge it and make fun of it and then laugh about how they covered it up because they are so much smarter than everyone else.
The reality of it is it's all about how the university chooses to handle their business.
