NCAA experimenting with new rules for NIT.
https://www.landof10.com/big-ten/nit...anges-2018/amp
The three-point line will be extended by approximately 1 foot 8 inches to the same distance used by FIBA for international competition (22 feet 1.75 inches).
The free throw lane will be widened from 12 feet to 16 feet, consistent with the width used by the NBA.
The games will be divided into four 10-minute quarters as opposed to two 20-minute halves. Teams will shoot two free throws beginning with the fifth foul of each quarter.
The shot clock will reset to 20 seconds after an offensive rebound instead of the full 30 seconds.

Nope. No reason to change college basketball.
The Liberation will not be televised--- when it arrives like lightning in the skies!

Four quarters is excellent. Implement this yesterday.

Yeah you?re right no reason to ever improve a bad product.. oh yeah not to mention the foul and quarters rule is what the women use which is a much better product to watch from a rules standpoint
4 quarters and free throws after 5 fouls Should have been implemented years ago along with 20 seconds shot clock after an O rebound. Intrigued by the lane and 3 point line extensions
-
4 quarters maybe. but all that other shit right before post season? nothing should change until after the season is done. 3 point line and the size of the foul box? just pop it on everyone out of the blue right before post season?
-
I am not sure why every game above HS doesn't play by the NBA rules anyway.
-
4 quarters and 5 fouls, yes. This should have been done for all of college basketball when they changed it for the women.
The three point line.. ehh.
The free throw lane width.. don’t like
-
It wouldn't matter if the 3 point line was at mid-court, college players are in love with that shot and think that they are NBA caliber shooters already. This includes the majority of our men's team as well.

What! We shoot 27% instead of 28%.
They are out to get us.
