Their size was good last year and they didn't. You people quit and give up so easily. We'd play them head up in a damn good game. You just have to punch them in the mouth like last year. They're going to essentially play the whole tournament at home and we'll get shipped out way west in the rigged NCAA system. Let them cruise and not have to play any tough games. It'll catch up to them.

I have watch our girls and they play to the level of the team they are playing. I think they would step up. I suspect UCONN is hoping for a rematch.

We also had more size....If McCowan happens to get in foul trouble, were done.

Here ya go: If this don't get ya fired up nothing will! Except we would not be near the under dog as the US Hockey team.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Commercecomet24 again.

I absolutely love that movie and I am not a big hockey fan.

So did that coach escape from New York and LA to make that speech.

UConn has great ball movement and almost everyone of them can hit a three. They are a great team but our defense makes other teams very uncomfortable. Last year we would have won by double digits if the refs weren't screwing us every chance they got, insert Porn Star Katie clip of the throat punch.

We had more depth last year than we do this year. We arent as good defensively as were last year. But we are better offensively.

The best way to beat them is play a game in the 60s. Slow it down, be physical, limit their possessions, no second chance points.

Let them run and play like golden state and we?ll get beat 90-70.

Only way to top last year's win over UConn is to do it this year to win the title.

Depth is ok everywhere but the 5. Holmes would start for 80% of teams and can score and defend, danberry is a plus defender who can score some, bibby can be physical and give you 5 fouls. Her lack of quickness is an issue if she has to guard the perimeter. She is better guarding someone the style of asa Wilson.

Just missing a solid backup 5.

Same here. That may be the only hockey game i've watched in my whole life. That movie and the whole story of that team was just incredible. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. One of those deals that transcends sport, triumph of the human spirit type stuff. Gotta love it!

Louisville beats them last night if they don't start so slow. They just got intimidated by UConn to start the game, similar to SC but they outscored UConn 2 of the final 3 periods and were only 2 behind them in scoring in the other period. You just can't let UConn jump on you early.

Where'd the "Porn Star Katie" moniker come from? I've heard it before but not sure it fits ... she's OK, just doing her job. She did it very well with the throat punch. She could play for us after a little practice. **

Louisville doesn't beat them regardless. Having said that, I think we may could do the same to Louisville if we play our best.

I'm just saying they have extremely tough matchups for us, especially Katie Lou. Everyone with exception of TM and Morgan will be giving up 2, 4, and 4 inches. TM will have to fly down the court too, which isn't her strong suit.
    They have 3 players shooting > 40% from 3, and 2 > 45%.

I do think we may have advantage in physicality tho. Not saying we can't win, but they have most of the advantages IMO. Anyone that thinks we gonna just put a beat down on them is living in fantasy land.

Looking at uconn stats, they only play 7 routinely. Those 7 play 16 minutes or more. Same as us. That?s not counting danberry who is at 10 minutes a game.

They shoot 40% from three compared to our 39.

They shoot 53% overall compared to our 47.

They shoot 76% from the stripe compared to our 73.

They give up 54 points a game compared to our 55.

I looked at their stats too. Saw same rotation numbers as well as the length differentials. Their ability to hit 3s gonna spread us out a good bit.

I don?t think anyone here thinks we gonna just put a beat down on them.

The question is how big is the gap from them to us and how to make that gap up. The easiest way is style of play. We have to dictate the style to beat them, just like we did last year.

Yep. That?s why we cannot let them go all golden state. They love shooting threes in transition. We have to slow it down and force them to get their points off of offensive sets. And no second chance points.

    Last year: 40% 3s, 52% shooting, 78% FT, gave up 55 (scored 87 now scoring 90)
    Last year us: 34% 3s, 44% shooting, 73% FT, gave up 57 (scored 76 now scoring 83)

I don't see where much is different than last year except we've improved our numbers more than they have (while playing a tougher schedule). You guys carry on with your "Nobody can beat UConn" bullshit.
