2019 Recruiting Thread

I think we take 3 ( 4 if its the right guys)

Kendrell Scury ( we are in his final 3 )
Kyziah Pruitt. ( but he better get in the boat soon)
Thats the 3 I see us getting as of today .

I like Watkins and if he was to pull trigger that might take Kyziah spot
I think Mingo ends up on Oxford
Jernigan ( ole miss commit) would flip if pushed
Jackson has shown very little interest , hearing he and mom might be visiting next week or so. Thats a step.
And again I still think JRP could end up at WR / slot guy . He is that good of an athlete

Plumlee looks like the real deal. More athletic Baker Mayfield play making ability. If we get him I wouldn't be surprised if he won the starting job over the SC kid.

Im not saying the kid isnt a good QB . But everyone remember the name Dylan Farave ?
If he wants to PLAY QB at the next level I dont see him PLAYING at a P5 .
I think he can play , contribute and be a player at DB or like I said maybe even WR. He is a helluva athlete no doubt .

I hope Im wrong and he comes here and is an All Sec QB before he leaves.

I enrolled at State same time Dylan did, sophomore year had multiple classes with him and he was never there from the first day on, gave a nice little prelude to when his MSU tenure was ending lol.

Is he Dylan Favre height? It has him listed as 6'1. If he's shorter than that I totally agree with you.

As long as Scurry checks out off the field I love our chances. Watkins is really liking MSU right now. He has talked about deciding before the season now he says he may wait until after his season. If he decides this summer I really like our chances. I don't know what's wrong with Kyziah but he better wake up soon or he'll be at USM.

I think the summer camps are going to be huge for the WR board. Getting them on campus and seeing work ethic and interaction with coaches. Figuring out who will have enough maturity to work hard to learn the craft is a huge deal at that position

He is wayyyyyyyyyyyy better than Dylan Favre ever was.

You gotta remember where Dylan Favre played in high school its a system and they play terribly weak competition. Run the score up to boost their kids stats. Same school that Myles Brennan went to and he was also garbage.

I still to this day wish the Dylan Favre deal had of worked out. More times than not, when the legit offers are not out there, there's a reason. But the PR media attention would have been great. Maybe Brett woulda moved to Old Waverly. Brett on the sidelines and shit with cameras rolling. I know, I know, but just saying.

Watkins is an 89 composite, Torbor was a 4*. A lot of different variables to go through but you recruit the tools that you need and obviously they have some good tools by looking at their offer sheet. Ratings go up and down but the prospect is the same, don't always rely on ratings
