I thought we might be able to get back in the game with Gray. Michigan has a higher rated RB that's also committed. We have zero. Surely we can make some headway there, any thoughts?

I think Gray comes back around after the season starts and he sees what he can be a part of here. This season is going to open so many more doors that State has had a problem of opening before.

I read it more like we would have loved to have had Emery and maybe a miracle still happens but they like what they have and have returning enough that finding another lead back isn't a MUST for this class. You always want to sign one with that potential, but there don't appear to be a ton of guys in Huff's style in our recruiting area. We'll sign a good back and still might get a great one, but there's no panic that it's do or die in this class.

Take it for what it's worth. You've made your stance on RB recruiting known many times. I'm telling you what I know if you don't agree that's fine.

Who are our underclassmen RBs?
Next year presumably we'll have Hill and Gibson. And if we don't sign a RB this year, after that it will be Hill and a true freshman or JUCO? Or do we have Fr or RS FR RB that's just not in the four deep right now?

seem like every now and then Bamer will split RB time and both end up getting drafted. no?

We will sign a RB this year. My whole point of the post was that Huff still felt good about the RB board. That's the reason you haven't seen us go out & offer a ton of new guys. To my knowledge we've offered 1 RB since Emery committed.

Gotcha. Misunderstood and thought "not worried about pulling a good RB" meant not worried about signing a good RB this class as opposed to "not worried" because he's confident we will still pull a good RB.

Bama doesn't have the same recruiting limitations we've got.

I'm not liking our chances either. Don't know anything other than usually when we are going to get a guy we KNOW we are going to get him.

He's not telling either side before the announcement. Everyone will find out at the same time. With that being said I still feel pretty good.

Hubbard has been very consistent with his message. It's a final four of Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia, and MSU. Most think it's clearly Virginia versus MSU. Virginia has proximity. I like our chances with the depth chart and the fact that it's the SEC. I think it's 60/40 MSU over Virginia.

Virginia is closer but not really close. It's still over 6 hours away.

If we want Hubbard, then I want him. It is a little odd though that he has no big 10 offer in big 10 country

I want Hubbard, Ike and that kid from St. Joseph. That would be ideal anyway.
