    Muschamp's new contract...

    6 years / $28.2 Mil / $4.7 per year

Is this 4th highest in the SEC behind MDL (Bammer, 8ish), Jimbo (A&M, 7ish) and Gus (AU, 7ish)???

    http://www.espn.com/college-football...2-million-deal

I searched but couldn't find it in prior threads.

Nobody on that list worth their money except Saban (since we don't know yet about Moorhead)

How stupid is Florida going to look paying that much to lose to a coach making less than 50%?

I know that Coach Jo took less money to have more for assistants but I wish cohen would have gone back when all the coaches had been hired and got him up to 3 million and 1 dollar.

LSU should be embarrassed. Please give Joe Alleva a lifetime contract.

Muschamp is doing a good job at SC and deserved a raise. How much? Well that can be debated. He improved them in year 1 and got to a bowl- then took the next step to a higher bowl and a good bowl win in Year 2. Top 20 recruiting class coming in

It's funny to me State fans wanted to keep paying Mullen more and more for 8 wins but looking down at SC for paying Boom. SC's football history is about like ours.

Yep. Looking like entry level is about 3M for the SEC nowadays. 4.7 for someone that?s doing his job well isn?t crazy talk. If Moorhead gets us quickly to decent bowls with solid recruiting classes you better believe we will have him up to that amount quickly. It?s nice that he?s taking a bit less to have a bit more to work the staff, but if he proves himself his number goes up a lot very quickly.

True. Muschamp doing a great job there. How much he should be paid is open for debate, but he deserved a raise.

USC has a much higher ceiling. They're in the capital of the State of South Carolina. They can recruit South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida equally.

Unless we have true Tort Reform in Mississippi, and the State stops being a bunch of sue-happy Marxists, Mississippi State will be left behind the South Carolinas of the world.

USCe has been the better program since Spurrier took over. They had a dip at the end of Spurrier until Boom took over but having 3 straight 11 win seasons within the last decade is pretty strong.

Had we played in the SEC (L)East, we would have had at least three 11 win seasons and possibly five during Mullen’s tenure here.

But, yea, Boom is a good coach and earned this contract.
