Clemson
Clemson DT Christian Wilkins who was slated in the latest mock draft to go 22nd overall, has decided to return to school.
Incredible how some programs get players to do that.
I'm extremely excited about Sweat returning, but how are these schools getting players that have 1st round grades to return to school?
This would be similar to Simmons next year deciding to return.
Additionally, it would be interesting to compare Wilkins to Simmons.

I just wish we could get some guys to do it in baseball. It seems like the more experienced team wins in Omaha a lot of the time.

baseball is a bigger problem we have in this area.
other schools have better "heppin".
-
My guess is mock did not match draft grade.

Simmons will be a top 10 pick next year. If not higher

Yeah he did not get a grade of 22nd overall, you don't turn down that type of money. Clemson PR pulling an ole miss stunt here I bet

What LSU did last year was rare. That said, we had a chance to do some of that last year from the 2016 team but the players have to be committed, and let's just say that group was, uh....not

Those really good parent jobs end when a player leaves college.
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Unless the kid’s family is rich or he just doesn’t care about money at all, it is an incredibly stupid decision to go back to school if he really is projected as a first rounder.

If that is the case, why even ask for a grade? If 1st is not good enough to leave, no reason to ask

First rounders are getting 12 mil guaranteed.
No school is paying a player or his family anywhere near that.

Yep. If you are a 1st rounder, you dumb if you return

There is a thread on one of the Game cock message board talking about why Clemson seems to get guys to come back. If I was 22 I would go. There is no tomorrow. Hell I might die, I might break my leg, you never know. You need to make hay while the sun is sinning.

LSU fans must be livid to see this

Clemson has a very legit shot at a natty next season. Lsu has not for a while

True but LSU has consistently lost players when they were natty contenders
I really don’t think this is the reason. These Clemson players already have a natty

Get this: Arguably, Clemson's toughest regular season game is at Texas A&M...
I'd love to see A&M beat Clemson and LSU somehow upset Miami early on... I wouldn't watch another game until after Christmas...
