Richard Williams didn?t do any better in his 1st 3 years and really only had 3 good seasons. You know who else didn?t do any better in their first 3 seasons. Bruce Pearl didn?t and he now has Auburn on the right track in year 4. Frank Martin also got South Carolina to the Final 4 in year 4. Howland had a big rebuild because he inherited a senior laden team. We will be fine, it?s just going to take longer than we all want.

We have 6-7 top 120 players on our roster and we can't make it a game with Florida. There's no development. I haven't seen anybody get better (Holman in OOC, in conference he hasn't done anything.)

Just don't understand how he have supposed great talent and can't shoot 3s or FTs. I think team is reflection of HC and we're just not there.

I think Florida made more threes made last night than we've made in the last 4-5 games haha.

Howland's 3 highest rated recruits have all transferred: Newman, Keglar, and Herard. Then you have Nick Spoon who is a true freshman.

As IYOK has pointed out, there is a huge difference between Top 120 in football and Top 120 in basketball.

The biggest problem Howland has is our team can't make a jump shot. His biggest coaching error is not letting 5 guys play together long enough to form some on-court chemistry. His 3rd biggest problem is we have a couple of players with some off the court issues. I'm not going to expound on that last part, but you can guess.

Ben Howland hasn’t had time to turn around the train wreck known as Rick Ray. Richard Williams has 2 years where we were 7-21 8-21, so dont go there.
You hear those bells mother-fudder....an Air-RAID is coming and that is yo ass!

I?m trying to be patient with Howland. It is just so difficult to watch us play. We never have a game plan on offense. We just dribble around the perimeter for 30 seconds and throw up a brick. Our shooters have regressed and our free throw shooting is JV level. We?ve got some athletes but it looks like 5 random guys met outside the gym and assembled a pick up team. That?s how unorganized we look. I don?t know what the answer is.

I am being patient as well but the Rick Ray shit show is making the time table really short. I am sorry but no one can convince me things are better now then they were with Stands. Actually things were better then. I hope it turns around fast.

Gotta disagree with this BIG TIME! Stans left our program as a dumpster ablaze. Howland hasn't had 12 years to make a fair comparison...comparing the two at this point is nonsensical.

It is fair to say that Howland has not had the success that Stans had over his whole career at MSU as long as you put a big "yet" at the end of that statement.

For the record, Stans had a winning record vs. every team in the SECW and most teams in the SECE. It's just a fact.

About half the SEC in any given year was dogshit throughout Stansbury's tenure. Not so much anymore.

A fact? Maybe.... But that has nothing to do with my point.

Jesus Christ this is getting ridiculous. Howland has made a grand total of two mistakes: 1.) untimely adjustments to our guards shots that at present are doing more harm than good, and 2.) failing to have a consistent inside scoring threat in year 3. I don't care what you think about his coaching or the way his offense "looks." If not for those two mistakes, no one is talking about any of this other nonsense. If we start next year and those two mistakes are still issues, then there will be cause for concern.

Hoops drilled it. We can?t shoot. We can?t score. We?re easy to defend in the half court sets. We need to go find a prolific scorer. Q is a complement. He?s a great one, but he?s Scottie Pippen. He?s not MJ.
