We have had craptastic droughts of play all year vs complete garbage teams... not sure why some here expected that to suddenly end on the road vs a solid team. We have struggled with rebounding in several games and cinci can rebound. This is exactly what this team needs... a kick in the balls to clean up our level of play

You schedule cupcakes if that's all you can beat. It look to me like Howland knew what he was doing, on that at least.

    Yes he is.

Our inside game is killing us. If we learn to rebound, we will be dangerous. Until then, this team will not look good

Vic S. is a better bb coach than Howland at this time in their careers.

Developing players is a huge part of coaching. Scheduling dead meat doesn't develop shit.

The problem is still the inside game. We basically don't have one.

I know both teams are 3-8 from 3 so far but it sure seems like ours have been straight luck and they have been hitting the open shot when appropriate. Must be nice.

100%. I listen to Howland postgame, he is obsessed with keeping players fresh. Consider the National Championship game. UNC played 8 guys, Gonzaga played 8 guys. Going further, each team played 4 guys 30+ minutes each. We need to settle on an 8 man rotation. Nick went to the bench too long and it cost us.

True, but confidence is big too. If we played a difficult schedule, we’d be 3-5 and looking to baseball season. At least we’re still attentive 9 games in. Been a while, ha. That being said, you’re right that our schedule ends any chance at postseason bc our rpi will be shit.

So Peters is a lottery pick (who thought that?), and not even on the court much for us at this point. This team still looks like a bunch of AAU stars and not a one knows how to play basketball as a team sport.

Getting you brains beat in doesn't either. Until we develop an inside game we need cupcakes.

We look good on defense. Offense just needs to find some sort of identity.. We don?t look horrible though imo.

Down by eight but the best way to beat Cincy is to turn them over. Gotta get steals and fast break opportunities. They are there as you can see. This is like playing A&M last year. They’re going to out board you but have to create turnovers to make up the difference.

Lord, Herard is in. That's 11 players we have played.
