You know the funny thing... now that he’s gone, I’m so glad. A lot of his imperfections that I masked are now revealed and I realize now that I thought WE had it great with Mullet and we couldn’t do better... but in retrospect, it was him that had made and he will sorely miss us when he’s coaching UMass in 4 years.
It is like that job that is kind of shitty and has no growth potential. You make just enough to keep you happy but you could possibly make 30% more at another job. Your employer finally lets you go to get someone cheaper and you end up with a better job that makes you happier. Your employer ends up with someone that gets caught stealing out of the petty cash.
