    Stansbury used to get bashed for teams not being prepared early in the season...

    against the zone. Calling Coach34, this team wasn't prepared to face a zone defense either.

    Howland is getting bashed in the game thread. Also Stansbury lost 2 or 3 of these types of OOC games a year.

    This team is also young. Stans would throw 5 Seniors out there and none of them could play against a zone.

    Just pointing out that many teams have problems with zone defenses early in the season. It is not uncommon across college basketball.

    Yep. Stansbury regularly lost the type of games Stephen F. Austin, Jacksonville St., and Dayton were. Howland has gotten the job done 3 out of 3 times so far this year.

    Howland is doing the right things to beat zones. We've come close in some games because good shooters have been missing wide open shots at a statistically improbable rate, which we seem to be slowly pulling out of.

    We actually did pretty decent against the zone in the early part of the game. We were getting into the teeth of it and collapsing it. Once we went up by 21 we just went full retard.

    Our level of effort dropped, and the turned it up several notches. In the end valuable lesson with no harm done.
